BiographyFounded in 1999 by Ron Dyens, Sacrebleu Productions ventured into animated feature films with Long Way North which won the Audience Award at Annecy Film Festival and was released in 2016, attracted nearly 600 000 spectators in France and selling in more than 20 countries worldwide. In early 2020, Anca Damian's animated feature Marona's Fantastic Tale was released in theaters following numerous festival selections (Annecy, European Film Awards...), awards (BIAF, Reanimania...) and critical acclaim. It has been sold by Charades in over 15 countries. It received the André Martin prize at Annecy and was included in the CNC's École et Cinéma program. Michaela Pavlátová's feature film My Sunny Maad, released in 2022, won the Jury Prize at Annecy and was selected in numerous festivals, including the Golden Globes. In 2023, the film added another award to its list, winning the César for Best Animated Film. December 13, 2023 sees the release of Sirocco and the kingdom of the winds, by Benoît Chieux. The film opened the Annecy 2023 International Animated Film Festival, winning the Audience Award. In 2024, FLOW by Gints Zilbalodis premiered at Cannes Film Festival (Un Certain Regard) and won 4 awards at Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Furtermore, the film was selected in more than 60 festivals among the most prestigious (TIFF, Melbourne International Film Festival, BFI London...) and received 35 prices. Sacrebleu has also produced over 90 short films, collecting more than 2000 festivals selections in France and internationaly, including Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand, as well as Stuttgart, Brest, Hiroshima... The films were recipients of prestigious awards: Barking Island (Palme d'Or 2010), Sunday Lunch and And then the Bear (respectively awarded the César for Best Animated Short Film in 2015 and 2021) as well as Madagascar, a journey diary (nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 2011) and Tram (Cristal for Best Short Film 2012)...
